Strange Encounter

A reoccurence of something strange.

As I was waiting behind my belanja-wan to settle the bill, a malayu waiter turned, pointed at me and asked "MALAYU ka?"

Stunned.

Could only afford a "Huh?" reply.

And he dutifully repeated, "MALAYU ka?"

My reply, "Bukan. Saya Cina." Giggled and left.

This is not the first time someone mistook me for a Malayu.

The first time was when at Orientation, this Chinese girl started introducing herself to me in Malay. I felt strange and asked her why after the icebroke. Haha. She thought I was Malay.

Second time (not directly related to this topic). A salesgirl thought I was dating a Malayu.

Am now conducting a series of interview and a detailed genealogy investigation (mum said we have Siamese blood wor) on this matter.

Now tell me, do I look Malayu to you? Don't wanna be caught eating during Puasa time.

Reasons Why I've Been Away..

1. Been working late nights on QCC presentation slides (it's over now, and we got the GOLD!)

2. Battling with an ISSUE (*sigh* to share thoughts in next post)

3. Helping out in cuzzin's wedding
